When it comes to baby showers, kids parties and various gatherings, the grazing table has become the number one catering trend for home chefs. But how do you decorate your party spread to take it to the next level?
Well the clever ladies at the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group have answered the call with this amazing party decoration hack – using a hula hoop!
Yep, with just one $5 hula hoop, the inspiring mums are using ribbon, ivy and faux flowers – all available at the popular store – to transform them into amazing decorations.
We’ve already seen Kmart Mums Australia take pool noodles to the next level to create amazing Christmas decorations, and this new hack is just as amazing. To create them, the DIY mums just wind ribbon or ivy around the hula hoop using a hot glue gun to secure it – and then attack flowers and letters using the hot glue gun again for the finished product. Follower Izabella took inspiration from the many hula hoop hacks she’d seen to create this centrepiece, pictured above, for her pink-themed party, revealing that she used pink ribbon and two bunches of fake blooms from Kmart.‘My first Kmart hack worked great as a backdrop – hula hoop & all flowers from Kmart,’ she wrote. ‘Thanks for the inspiration ladies x’Others loved her post, writing ‘Absolutely gorgeous’ and ‘This looks stunning’, followed by ‘So gorgeous!!’Follower Em Louise made this for her baby shower, pictured above, adding letters for a special effect – and we couldn’t love it more! She writes: ‘I wanted so badly to hire one of these for my baby shower but it was going to be $75 plus the bond and I just thought that was ridiculous for a damn hoop for one day 😂!‘So I went to Kmart brought a hula hoop lucky for me after taking the plastic colour off the hoop it was brown underneath (like I wanted) I covered it in ivy and flowers all from Kmart! ‘Cost me about $20!
