Former McDonald’s employees have responded to a Reddit thread which asked which meal customers should never order.
The clear winner was the Filet-O-Fish, with one employee writing: ‘At McDonald’s just say you want a fish filet cooked to order. It will take 5 minutes more but worth it compared to the filet that has been in the heated cabinet for hours.’
The comment section was filled with current and former employees all agreeing the fish burger was the one customers should steer clear of.
‘I came here to say this. Seriously. It’s been 3 years since I worked there but I can promise you that filet of fish is not fresh by any stretch of the imagination,’ another Redditor wrote.
Luckily, Aussies don’t have to worry about being sold stale seafood burgers.
‘[In] Australia, this was phased out a good 10+ years, and everything is made to order,’ explained one commenter.
