“Mac waited for Ariana at the bottom of the [private jet] stairs,” a source tells PEOPLE.
“She looked distraught and like she has been crying. They hugged for a while before they headed to a waiting car. Ariana’s mom Joan was with her.”

Another source close to Grande added:
"It’s so, so sad. She loves her fans and is absolutely crushed and devastated as you can imagine. She can’t believe this happened. She just wants to be with her family and loved ones right now.”
Insiders close to the singer told TMZ that she has cancelled her London gig on Thursday and has put then rest of the European trip on hold.
Ariana had upcoming dates in England, Belgium, Poland, Germany and Switzerland.
The 23-year-old’s manager, Scooter Braun, said, "We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act," adding, "We ask all of you to hold the victims, their families, and all those affected in your hearts and prayers."
The source added that Grande isn't even thinking about her shows at the moment as she is "in hysterics" and completely "broken" after what happened.
TMZ have reported that the pop star and her management will re-assess the future proceedings when they're "emotionally ready".
