Exclusive pics: Lisa Curry and Grant's wedding joy
Fighting back tears, an emotional Lisa Curry watched her daughter Morgan marry the man of her dreams, describing the fairytale Noosa wedding as a ‘magical day’.
Mother-of-the-bride Lisa – resplendent in a bright fuchsia gown with plunging neckline – was overcome with joy as she watched her middle child say ‘I do’, with ex Grant Kenny by her side.
Despite splitting in 2009, the couple spent most of the ceremony and festivities side-by-side, happily posing for photos with their kids Jett and Jaimi, as well as Morgan and her new husband Ryan Gruell.
While Lisa’s Elvis impersonator boyfriend Mark Andrew Tabone was there, Lisa and Grant spent the ‘beautiful day’ celebrating as a family. ‘Grant walked Morgan down the aisle, and Lisa was bursting with pride,’ reveals a spectator at the wedding.
‘Lisa and Grant looked very close – it was obvious that this was a very special day for them.’
After a 15-month engagement, Morgan and her high school sweetheart Ryan – described by her best friend Rebecca as ‘every girl’s dreamboat’ – were married in a beachside ceremony at Noosa in front of an intimate group of 40 family and friends.
Despite circulating rumours that 52-year-old Grant’s alleged partner Fifi Box, 39, would be attending the wedding as his date with their daughter Trixie, a last-minute change of heart saw her stay in chilly Melbourne instead of making an appearance.
‘They just decided it would attract too much fuss and attention,’ said an insider. ‘Fifi wanted this to be Morgan’s day – she didn’t want to steal the limelight or create drama with her arrival. Grant understood. They’re so private.’
