This outing comes after a Kensington Palace insider last week confirmed Meghan’s pregnancy to New Idea and said the pair would have to cancel her first royal tour of Australia. The source said the royal couple will hold off on making any official announcements, until, ‘she is given the three month all clear’.
The exciting news comes after it was revealed Meghan has given her first major ‘sit down’ interview since joining the royal family. This interview with British television channel ITV will air in September in the documentary, Queen of the World.
The glowing Duchess of Sussex was due to arrive Down Under with Prince Harry, 34, in October for the Invictus Games in Sydney, but with news of her pregnancy her trip remains uncertain.
For the special charity event on September 6, Meghan, 37, donned a loose-fitting bluesleeveless dress by designer Jason Wu, with matching blue satin pumps from favoured shoe designer Aquazzura, and a navy Dior clutch. The Duchess wore her hair down in soft curls – a change from her usual messy bun.
The royal newlyweds were glowing as they arrived hand-in-hand at the Westminster event held at Central Hall.
