Fans of Call The Midwife will recognise actress Erin Doherty, who has been announced to star as The Queen and Prince Phillips’s daughter in the new season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new season, which is currently filming, will air in 2019.
This latest season has seen a complete recasting from the first two, with actress Clare Foy who played Queen Elizabeth, replaced by The Night Manager's Olivia Colman.
Tobias Menzies and Helena Bonham Carter will take over as Prince Phillip and Princess Margaret.
The hit show has currently been renewed for seasons three and four, however the plan is to run across six seasons, spanning six decades of the Queen’s life.
"This is going to take Queen Elizabeth from age 29 to, presumably, the current day. We'll see it lay out over decades," Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos said back in 2016. "The idea is to do this over six decades in six seasons presumably, and make the whole show [run] over eight to 10 years."
