It’s official. Netflix has confirmed the exciting news that Stranger Things will return for a fourth season.
While there is no release date yet, the teaser promises a twist that fans probably didn’t expect.
They’re leaving Hawkins, Indiana… the town that has dealt with the mess of the ‘Upside Down’ since Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) made her escape from the lab in season one.
Now that Chief Hopper (David Harbour) is supposedly dead, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) has left town with her kids, including Eleven who seems to have lost her powers.
So how will they wrap up the highly successful series in a way that is satisfactory for fans who have a VERY high expectation?

Since the series was only ever meant to be one season, we have faith that Matt and Ross Duffer will do it justice.
“The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer in a press release. “We can’t wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down.”
Maybe they’re travelling to Russia.
At the end of season three, there was a cut scene of Russian soldiers who fans believe were holding Hopper as a hostage.
Maybe the gang is heading out of the country altogether to save their favourite police officer…
Some other exciting news that has come with the fourth season confirmation is the deal the Duffer brothers have signed with Netflix.
The co-creators have signed a multiyear overall film and series deal with Netflix… does this mean a movie could be in the works?
We say yes!
