Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage has revealed that she enlisted the help of a priest to perform an exorcism on her house, after it kept “hurting her”.

In a column penned for Stellar, the 43-year-old spoke candidly about her belief that houses have personalities, and they find people, rather than the other way around.
“Ask anyone the story of how they “found” their home and I’ll bet there is… a story. Because there’s always a li’l magic something that draws you to your castle,” Sam wrote.
To prove her point, the 43-year-old went on to say that she once owned a little miner’s cottage, which as sweet as it was, also harbored a kind of negative energy.
“Like many of us old ducks, she could be difficult. Despite my adoration, the bloody house kept hurting me,” she added.
Sam described how the rustic residence would randomly slam its windows on her fingers and the water would suddenly become scalding while she was showering.
While she admitted there was probably a logical reason for the strange happenings, Sam said she called on the help of a local priest to provide a little real-estate ‘exorcism’ of sorts.
“That lovely man came over, had a cup of tea and then splashed a bit of holy water around. Bless him. And the old girl calmed down. The house was also better behaved,” she wrote.
Sam’s real estate revelation comes after she recently went public with her former farmer partner Richard Lavender.
The 43-year-old finally confirmed she is dating former farmer Richard Lavender, 60, when they appeared as an item in the Sexiest People issue of WHO magazine.
Speaking to the publication, Sam said one of the things she liked the most about her new beau was the fact that he had “no idea” who she was when they first met.
However, after several weeks of getting to know each other, Sam confessed that she finally encouraged Richard to watch Sunrise – just so he could find out what she did for a living.
