Her feelings for Robbo (Jake Ryan) cannot be questioned. But just when it seems that Jasmine (Sam Frost) will take her relationship with the hunky gym owner to the next level, she has a last-minute change of heart.
And, not surprisingly, it has everything to do with Robbo’s plan to have an IVF baby with the local doctor Tori (Penny McNamee).
Earlier, Jasmine invites Robbo back to her place after work.
When Robbo arrives, however, his mood has clearly changed.
Indeed, Robbo reveals that Tori has just told him that several of their embryos did not survive – they’re now down to four viable ones.
“Jasmine’s not stupid and she can obviously see that Robbo is feeling quite torn and conflicted about everything,” says Sam.
“He is still a bit guarded and can’t give her a hundred per cent because he’s so focused on having a baby with Tori.”
Jasmine suggests they head out for a double-date with Chelsea and Colby to take Robbo’s mind off things.
But when Jasmine finds herself alone with Robbo later that night, she makes a decision – she wants to wait until it’s a little less complicated before taking things further.
“Jas is now protecting herself – she’s protecting her head and her heart,” says Sam. “That’s why she decides to take a step back, at least until Robbo is in a clearer head space.”
