Speaking onEllenon Tuesday, the talk-show host shared the exciting announcement with her audience.
"I’m talking fast because I’m excited because I want to tell you something exciting,” Ellen told the crowd. “We rescued a puppy."

The audience erupted into a chorus of cheers, and Ellen then explained that she had adopted the rescue dog from Wagmor - one of the animal shelters in Studio City, California - and that the puppy's name was Mrs. Wallis Browning."
"She’s so cute, I can’t even take it," the 61-year-old gushed as she showed the audience photos of her new puppy.
"She’s very adorable, pretty and precious. And she knows it," Ellen added.
The comedian has already taken dozens of photos of Mrs. Wallis Browning since adopting her last Wednesday.
The rescue dog is standard poodle puppy and Ellen hopes it will show animal lovers that rescue dogs can be purebred dogs.

Sadly, the adorable pooch came from a rough beginning.
"Wallis is three months old. And she, unfortunately, was with some irresponsible people," Ellen revealed. "She was kept in a cage outside in the desert since she was two months old."
On a lighter note, the talk-show host joked that up until she was rescued, Mrs. Wallis Browning had never had the chance to "live next door to Oprah."
According toPeople,Ellen already has three other rescue pups as well as three cats, which she says is a lot of work.
"We’re like new parents," DeGeneres said of herself and wife Portia de Rossi.
