The supermodel recently revealed the secret to her enviable tresses in her Get the Gloss blog who says her amazing hair is thanks to a good cut and colour.
The 49-year-old often seeks the advice of her good friend Josh Wood.
'He recently suggested I return to my softer, more natural colour, which I have and I love,' she advised.
‘For a more beachy and casual feel, I sometimes see Daphne Evangelista in Miami, where I live. She understands Brazilian sexy hair. When I’m off duty in the summer, I love her beach waves. I’ll have a trim whenever I see hair looking split frayed or fried,’ Elle adds.
Elle also confessed that she washes her hair in beer and vinegar for extra shine, otherwise she has a few go-to products she uses.
'I shampoo and condition every two to three days using Oribe shampoo ($51) and Oribe conditioner $65) - they smell great,' she added.
Elle avoids exposing her tresses to the sun and often shields her hair with a large sunhat. She also rarely blow dries her hair and leaves it to dry naturally.
Letting her hair dry naturally also creates her signature messy beachy waves she’s famous for.
And to keep her hair from tangling she sleeps on a silk pillowcase:
‘To stop it tangling throughout the night, I sleep on a Slip silk pillowcase. It means my hair (and my skin) slip rather than grab onto the fabric which means fewer knots and wrinkles in the long term,’ Elle adds.
