Beaming with joy, the perfect pair said ‘I do’ in front of 160 guests made up of family and friends in a beautiful ceremony at their 100-acre property, Warramba, in Capertee Valley.
The lovebirds first met seven years ago working in radio together, and they’ve been head over heels in love ever since.
The big day was held exactly a year after Neil proposed to the TV presenter – in the same spot – but not everything went exactly to plan.
‘From hail storms, bogong moth plagues, generators running out of diesel, kids left colouring-in in the dark, G-strings on the dance floor and camp fire sing-a-longs. It was epic,’ the 34-year-old bride wrote on Instagram.
Yet despite the hiccups, they wouldn’t have changed a single thing.
‘It’s so hard to find the words to describe the most beautiful day of our lives,’ she added on Instagram.
Guests gushed watching the ceremony, and celebrated under a stunning marquee decorated with fairy lights and dried Hydrangeas – that the couple made themselves.
Family and friends were then treated to locally-sourced food and wine, before dancing the night away. In attendance were many of Edwina’s Channel Seven co-stars including Sam Armytage, Larry Emdur, Sam Mac and Natalie Barr.
In a touching tribute, Edwina chose a vintage wedding dress that has been worn by several generations of women in her family, including her much-loved grandmother.
‘More than twenty women in my family have now worn this dress and veil over the past 100 years,’ she said, sharing a photograph on Instagram of her late grandmother Mimi, who wore the wedding dress back in 1944. It was restored by fashion designer Sonia Cappellazzo.
Her veil, also a family heirloom, was given to her great-grandmother for her wedding in 1915.
Each guest was gifted a pot of homemade honey to take home, made from bees on Edwina and Neil’s property, and some guests stayed the night, glamping on-site.
