Yesterday Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice announced that they were engaged.
Edoardo popped the question during their Italy trip, however, this isn't his first proposal.
Prior to dating the daughter of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, he was engaged to the mother of his two-year-old son.
According to the Daily Mail, the property tycoon split with Chinese American architect Dara Huang less than a year before he began dating Princess Beatrice.
The publication reported that Dara's mother Lily, 69, claimed that Dara ended up on a friend's sofa - and she only found out they split when he made a public appearance with the Queen's granddaughter just six months after they split.
"I think Dara was hiding it from me," she claimed.
"She didn't want me to be sad. I am shocked."
Prior to their split, Dara and Edo (who is the son of Olympic skier Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Shale) lived together in London.
The 37-year-old was forced to leave after the split and reportedly stayed with a friend while looking for a new place.
They currently share custody of their son Christopher (named after Edo's step-father, Christopher Shale who was a close friend of David Cameron).

Breaking her silence, his ex-fiancee and mother of his child Dara Huang told MailOnline: "I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families."
The 31-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, got engaged to the 34-year-old property tycoon in Italy earlier this month.
Buckingham Palace released a statement announcing the couple's impending 2020 wedding, which read: "The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Her Royal Highness and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. Further details will be announced in due course."
The Royal Family Instagram account released a series of pictures from Beatrice's engagement with their arms wrapped around each other, looking more in love than ever, to announce to the world they will be married next year.
In a special twist, it turns out the photos were taken by Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, who wrote on Instagram: "Beabea - wow! I'm so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It's been a long time coming and you two are meant to be. 📷 by me!!"
The date of the royal wedding will depend on when her grandmother the Queen is free to attend, royal commentator and editor in chief of Majesty magazine, Ingrid Seward told Hello!
Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York shared her own special set of photos, including a series of black and white portraits which show the couple getting silly for the camera.
"I know what a mother feels so I have tears of joy. I am so proud of this sensational news. Andrew and I are just the luckiest people ever to have two great sons in law."
