Felicity Huffman has been photographed looking distressed as she made her first court appearance in a college bribery scandal.
Huffman and Full House star Lori Loughlin's husband Mossimo Giannulli are among 50 people who have been accused of paying bribes to get their children into America's top colleges.
Huffman - who starred in the hit TV show Desperate Housewives - was released on $250,000 bond on Tuesday.
It is alleged Huffman paid $15,000, which she concealed as a charitable donation, to arrange for someone to change her daughter's answers during the SAT exams.
Huffman has been charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud.
A judge has ordered the 56-year-old to restrict her travel to continental US. She has also surrendered her passport.
