Daniel and Meghan have been friends for years. They worked together on her lifestyle blog, The Tig, before she shut the site when things became serious with Prince Harry.
Daniel who is a strong supporter of Meghan, says he first met the Duchess "a little under a decade ago when Suits got picked up," which was the TV series that made her famous.
"When I met her, it was just an instant connection," he told Into The Gloss.
"I knew what she wanted—it was one of those things where, she looked at herself in the mirror and was like, 'Oh my God, this is what I always wanted, but I didn't know how to get there.' From that experience, we just kept in touch," he told Into the Gloss.
Daniel first posted about his excitement for Meghan and Harry in December 2018, not long after the Duke and Duchess announced their pregnancy, when he captioned a photograph of Meghan at the 2018 Fashion Awards: “I’m gonna be a #guncle”.
With Meghan’s Hollywood past, it’s likely that Baby Sussex will be surrounded by the couple’s diverse friendship group, with George and Amal Clooney even tipped to become godparents to the young royal.
