It has almost been a week since Hugh Hefner passed away, and now his wife, Crystal, has spoken publicly about the Playboy moguls passing.
The 31-year-old, who has been married to Hefner for five years, told PEOPLE, 'I haven't been able to bring myself to write most people back to thank them for their condolences. I am heartbroken. I am still in disbelief.'
The blonde beauty added, 'We laid him to rest Saturday. He is in the place he was always certain he wanted to spend eternity.'
The Playboy founder and star of E! reality series, The Girls Next Door, was buried near UCLA where Marilyn Monroe and Farrah Fawcett rest.
His four children, wife Crystal, and several people close to the mogul paid their respects in an intimate ceremony.
Crystal, who TMZ claimed is getting a $7 million home and $5 million per their marital agreement, gave a touching tribute.
'He was an American hero. A pioneer. A kind and humble soul who opened up his life and home to the world,' she said.
Crystal continued, 'I feel how much he loved me. I loved him so much. I am so grateful. He gave me life. He gave me direction. He taught me kindness. I will feel eternally grateful to have been by his side, holding his hand, and telling him how much I love him.'
In the aftermath of Hefner's passing, several celebrities and high-profile friends of the star shared their condolences via social media.
