Corey Worthington will appear on upcoming season of Ninja Warrior

Infamous party boy Corey Worthington is making his Australian TV comeback!

Ben Fordham has confirmed Worthington will appear as a contestant on the upcoming season of Ninja Warrior, which kicks off on July 8 on Channel Nine.

Fordham, referencing Worthington's now infamous 2008 A Current Affair appearance, told news.com.au: 'There’ll be some people who will hate the fact that he’s back on their TV screens again but at least this time he’s not being a smart-arse to Leila McKinnon.'

'This time he’s actually doing something worthwhile, he’s using his body and his mind to try and beat the Ninja Warrior course.'

Corey Worthington Delaney- Party Host, Extraordinaire

Worthington first made headlines over a decade ago when he threw a party at his parents' home which ended up with over 500 guests.

A police helicopter and the critical response team were called in to disperse the crowd after party-goers started damaging cars and properties on the street.

Following the interview, Corey made headlines worldwide. He added to his notoriety by refusing to take off his yellow sunglasses during interviews.

'It’s the ultimate Where Are They Now?' Fordham told news.com.au. 'This guy was there one minute and gone the next and I don’t think anyone has probably given too much thought to him in the meantime…But he has been doing something behind the scenes since then because he is buff!'

Corey also confirmed the news, taking to his Instagram account @partyboy_c_worthington.

'Looking forward to being part of Ninja Warrior season 2! Get behind it Australia @ninjawarriorau#ninjawarrior #ninja' he wrote.

Fordham, who co-hosts the hit show alongside Rebecca Maddern and Freddie Flintoff, further told news.com.au that Worthington applied to be on the show and got through the grueling audition process.

'We didn’t go looking for him. He watched Ninja Warrior last year like everyone else and it turns out he’s a fit little fella these days and he wanted to have a crack,' Fordham said.

Worthington, now 27, isn't the only famous face we'll be seeing on Season 2 of Ninja Warrior.

NRL star Paul Gallen and The Bachelor’s Tim Robards will also give the course a go.
