Today the court heard from Chris Dawson's lawyer who suggested News Corp Australia journalist Hedley Thomas may have either shredded or not supplied important 'material'.
According to 9 News, the court heard on Thursday, May 9 that both police prosecutors and defence lawyers were working to recover all interviews conducted by Thomas through his Melbourne lawyers.
We are expected to hear today whether prosecutors will be able to use as evidence any material that was collected by journalist Hedley Thomas for the podcast.
Lynette Dawson went missing in 1982 and has never been seen since.
At the time she was passed off as a runaway wife.
Chris Dawson has strenuously denied any involvement in her dissapearence.
This is a developing story.
