It’s a worrying time for mega star Celine Dion, as the legendary singer has been forced to take time off from her Las Vegas show due to illness.
‘You never want to let anybody down, but sometimes you get sick,” the 49-year-old announced last month after being forced to cancel a concert.
“Today I’m not very good. I’m not at my best,” she added.
Sadly, Celine also had to cancel six other performances in the New Year.
And while the star's doctor has ordered her to rest until she’s fully better, and an official statement blamed “congestion and irritation of the vocal chords due to a lingering cold,” those close to the legendary singer are concerned she’s been pushing herself too hard following the death of her husband and manager Rene Angelil in January 2016.
“This has been the roughest week for her since Rene died,” a friend told US Closer.
“It looked like she was well enough to return to the stage so she did one show, but she felt worse after that. She just needs some extra time to heal and recover.”
Get better soon, Celine!
