A royal baby is the way and the Queen is ‘delighted’.
Zara and Mike Tindall announced they are expecting a second child, which will be Queen Elizabeth’s sixth great-grandchild.
Confirming the news on Twitter, Mike wrote: ‘Just a quick one to say thank you for the messages. We are very very happy about the little one on its way. 2017 is already starting well!!’
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: ‘The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and members of the Royal Family are delighted with the news.’
Zara, an equestrian champion married Mike, a former Rugby Union player, married in 2011 and already have a daughter named Mia, who is nearly three years old.
The baby will be a second cousin to Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
