Channel Nine
Following the success of House Rules, it seems Channel Nine are throwing everything they’ve got at the new season of The Block in a bid to keep interests high in the renovation genre.
Two celebrities are amongst the 2017 Blockheads – model and social media influencer Elyse Knowles, 24, and former NRL star Clint Amons, 34.
The blonde beauty will take part in the show with her carpenter boyfriend Josh Barker, 27 while Clint competes with wife Hannah, 31.
Elyse has more than 600,000 followers on Instagram and has posed for high profile brands like Billabong and Guess.
Meanwhile, Clint played for the Queensland Cowboys, Gold Coast Titans and Melbourne Storm during his 10-year professional career.
All but one team (Elyse and Josh) have children this year as the show angles for the family viewers House Rules rakes in.
The other couples competing are best mates Sticks and Wombat, and married couples Ronnie and Georgia, and Jason and Sarah.
The Block returns to screens later this year.
