Richard Wilkins is used to having jokes made at his expense on the Today show.
But is this latest jab taking things too far?
On Thursday’s show, the veteran reporter and his fellow presenter Tim Gilbert filmed a segment plugging a caravan giveaway.
After Dickie suggested the pair were going to nap on the bed together, Karl Stefanovic made a quip about his co-host’s weight.
“Gee, I tell ya… that’s a substantial bed if those two fit in it!” he teased as they pretended to snooze, before adding: “We’ll let the boys have a little alone time.”
But this isn’t the first time he’s been made fun of on-air.
Back in January, the 62-year-old stormed off set after co-host Sylvia jokingly dissed his hair.
The awkward moment began after the panel previewed a viral video of a toddler yelling at a “T-Rex” of screen.
“Maybe it’s Dickie’s hair!” Sylvia joked, prompting him to respond disapprovingly: “Oh Sylvia.”
“Are you saying Dickie is a dinosaur?” Tim asked at the time.
“I’m saying he’s got magnificent hair,” she replied giggling.
