His wife cut his penis off with a knife, now more than two decades later, John Wayne Bobbitt is speaking out.
The 49-year-old opens up about the attack this week on Scandal Made Me Famous, a true-crime docuseries on the Reelz Channel.
Recalling what happened in 1993, he told the show: ‘I looked down and there was blood everywhere.’
‘It was a devastating thing to happen to you suddenly. Suicide seemed like the only answer.’
Thankfully, police recovered his penis from a field where his wife Lorena has thrown it and a surgeon was able to reattach it.
After the successful surgery, Bobbitt surprisingly went on to appear in various porn movies. Now, he works as a driver and chooses to live a quiet life.
As for his ex-wife, Bobbitt says he doesn’t blame her. ‘We both hurt each other. I wish her the best.’
