Matt Price and Jess Dunbar are engaged!
After winning over crowds on 2015’s X Factor, Matt Price and Jess Dunbar are still as in love as ever 18 months after the show.
The musical duo revealed the happy news to The Daily Telegraph.
‘It was honestly the most elaborate, romantic proposal you could possibly imagine with so much planning and secret squirrel business involved,’ Jess gushed.
It turns out, the engagement was so elaborate, it took Matt six months to plan.
‘I was in complete shock when it happened,’ Jess said, before revealing the milestone moment happened in the lush green garden in the Blue Mountains. ‘I walked into a garden and a live string quartet started playing, there was champagne and waiters dressed in white suits waiting around the fountain.’
Matt and Jess met while studying at a performance arts college, and not long after, the couple appeared on X Factor, where they reached the Grand Final and placed third overall. The competition, the couple admits, made them stronger.
‘The competition has really brought us together as a couple, and musically as well. Small couple quarrels are thrown out the window because we’ve got to focus,’ Matt said.
Last year Jess and Matt released single Bones and second track Sydney To Me in January.
The pair will make their soap TV debut when they appear in The Bold and the Beautiful’s Australian special episode on Friday.
