The original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter has collaborated with pyjama king of Australia, Peter Alexander on a must-have Mother’s Day collection. Think plush velvet roves, gorgeous floral prints and cosy flannelette PJ sets.
And because all mums are superheroes in their own right, what better way to celebrate all they do with something special made by Wonder Woman herself?
Lynda, who donned the iconic red, white and blue outfit from 1975-1979, reveals she receives lots of campaign offers but usually says no.
‘I get asked a lot to do campaigns, and most of the time I say no,’ Lynda explains. ‘But the Peter Alexander brand and Peter himself struck a genuine a chord. His work with animal charities is incredible, and his love for animals matches my own.’
Throughout the making of the campaign, which was shot in New York City, Lynda and Peter formed a close relationship.
‘I just love Peter! I felt a real synergy with Peter the moment we started chatting. It’s a brand that I just get. I love how much fun he has – from the pyjama designs to Peter himself, it’s full of love and energy.’ Lynda raves. ‘I’m lucky to share a close relationship with my children. Being involved in a campaign for Peter that celebrates the bond between mums and daughters is truly special.’
In fact, Peter’s latest campaign not only features mums in their pj’s, but mums with their daughters! Lynda was lucky enough to pose behind the lens with her only daughter, Jessica, 26.
‘I am so proud of my very talented daughter, Jessica, who has already achieved so much,’ Lynda gushes. ‘I relish all the time I am able to spend with her, so the Peter Alexander shoot was a particular treat. Even though there was a snowstorm outside, we had a blast being together as always.’
To commemorate their exciting collection, Peter is embarking on his annual Mother’s Day tour, visiting stores across Australia.
