While TV lovebirds Peter Stefanovic and Sylvia Jeffreys enjoy their new life together as husband and wife, another family member is also embracing a new beginning.
During the lavish Kangaroo Valley nuptials, as wedding guests at the Ooralba Estate laughed over groomsman Karl Stefanovic’s raucous wedding song, his estranged wife Cassandra Thorburn was quietly getting on with her life.

Exclusive photos capture once-cherished mementoes of Cassandra’s life with the popular TV host dumped on the street near their Lindfield home.
It’s believed the belongings were discarded the day after Sylvia and Pete’s wedding.
For Cassandra, missing the wedding was the unfortunate sting in the tail of her relationship breakdown with the 42-year-old Today host.
But rather than sit around moping, Cassandra was allegedly spurred on by the wedding, clearing out the remnants of their old life together.
A rocking horse, a boogie board and white bedroom furniture were among the items strewn along the roadside – leaving onlookers bewildered.
‘The furniture was in perfectly good working order. I couldn’t understand why anyone would throw out such good stuff,’ said a man who picked up a pink rocking horse.
‘If you’d sold it on Gumtree or whatever, you’d make a fair bit of money. If you don’t need the money, why not give it to a charity so someone else could benefit?
‘It seemed like a symbolic gesture to me.’
