Although Australia quickly grew attached to Susan and Sean’s flourishing romance on Married At First Sight, the couple sadly couldn’t make it work outside of the reality show.
In the final vow renewal ceremony Susan said: ‘I’ve decided I can’t be in a relationship with you. I hope we can be the best of friends.’
And while viewers thought the reason why the pair split was because they couldn’t cope with a long-distance relationship, Sean reveals the real reason they couldn’t make it work.
‘It’s more so a very different lifestyle,’ he said in an interview with WHO magazine. ‘Susan travels the world, it’s just very quiet here.’
The farmer says meeting Susan on the series has inspired him to keep looking for love.
‘Susan crossed my path for a reason, whether we were meant to be or not. She definitely has given me hope there is someone out there for me to love.”
