The Voice star Seal has this season gone from one of Australia’s most loved TV judges, to the most controversial – with fans cheering on Boy George after he labeled the British star ‘bitchy’ and a ‘James Bond villain’.
Once one of the most nurturing stars on the hit show, Seal has seemingly taken on a more caustic tone this season – a situation that came to a head after he criticised contestant Sarah Stone for performing the Lorde hit Green Light.
Denying that Sarah is one of the strongest female contestants on the show, Seal proceeded to slam her choice of material.
‘Sarah, I really like you — I’ve told you that off set. I think you made the most of a not particularly good song. I’m not a big fan.
‘I couldn’t sing that song because it wouldn’t inspire me, but I thought you did great.’
Responded fan favourite Boy George, ‘Well she sang it better than Seal!’
To which Seal replied, ‘Perhaps, because Seal doesn’t sing bad songs.’
Social media was then deluged with comments slating the Kiss From A Rose singer, and praising Boy George.
