Who is that mystery lady behind those big, dark sunglasses? Yes, it’s much-loved Murphy Brown icon Candice Bergen!
She may have been out of view for a while, but Candice is very busy once again – enjoying something of a comeback in Tinsel Town.
Still full of life, the inspiring 70-year-old go-getter stepped back into the spotlight this week – she’s pictured here leaving The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills. Candice has her eyes on a TV comeback, has been keeping herself busy with an artistic side project – and has even opened up on her date with Donald Trump!
The star, who earlier this year filmed a pilot for a new sitcom called Pearl, confirms rumours she did indeed once step out with controversial presidential aspirant, Donald.
‘I have no memory of it,’ she says of the date – which took place in the early 1960s when both were attending the University of Pennsylvania. ‘I just remember that he was wearing a three-piece burgundy suit, and burgundy boots and a burgundy limousine. He was very co-ordinated.’
Meanwhile, Candice has been keeping herself artistically fulfilled by decorating designer handbags, and the reaction to the talented star’s work has been so great, she’s now charging $1000 a bag. Her fees will be going to charity. No wonder we love this woman!
