Wentworth’s finale ‘Freak-out’: You will be shocked senseless!

Wentworth fans are in for quite the jolt as they watch the prison drama’s finale tonight – with producers hinting at one of the most shocking moments ever on the notoriously edgy hit the show.

Pamela Rabe, who plays the creepy governor-turned-prisoner known as ‘The Freak’, also promises viewers they’re in for a hair-raising ride, with surprise twists and turns along the way!

‘I think fans know that every one of these series goes out with a bang and this one is no exception!’ says Pamela, currently on a UK promotional visit.

‘Freak’ fans can be found around the globe: some have travelled from as far away as the US, Holland and Germany to meet Rabe while she’s in Britain.

And though her character is terrifying, Rabe told News.com.au that many fans ‘feel protective of her; they feel she’s misunderstood, they’re kind of delighted by her outrageous behavior, and a little shocked!’

After all, she told the news outlet, ‘deep down,’ everyone has a secret desire ‘to indulge in things one is not supposed to do. If you can enjoy that vicariously through a character in a fictional series, then all the better than indulging in it in your real life.’

Producers have just announced the fifth series of Wentworth is soon to be made. Among the stars to rise from the show have been Katrina Milosevic – who plays Boomer. She last week told New Idea that while the hit show has been great for her career, her hardcore character has sometimes creeped into her real life at unwelcome times.

‘It does seep in, and my boyfriend Rodney tells me I get very broad and a bit Boomeresque when I’m filming Wentworth,’ she told New Idea. ‘I have to be careful – it’s like osmosis or something.’

Wentworth finale, Tuesday, SoHo, 8.30pm
