Vince Colosimo tells: My drug shame

Underbelly actor, Vince Colosimo has spoken about his devastation after being charged for drug possession.

The 50-year-old who was allegedly caught with methamphetamines in September, has told News Corp the matter has caused his family “grief” and is “a wake-up call.”

“I have two beautiful children, whom I love more than anything in the world and I want to be a good role model to them,” Colosimo said.

It’s been a trying few years for the star, who despite his award winning success as an actor, has been working as a labourer on building sites just to make ends meet.  

In 2014, the Chopper star was fined $1000 for driving while on a suspended license. At the time, Colosimo’s lawyer, Patrick Dwyer, told the court:

“Acting life is not highly remunerative. He sands, he paints, he cleans building sites in between acting roles.”

The father-of-two is set to face the Melbourne the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on February 22.
