Austin Powers star Verne Troyer has been rushed to the hospital for a ‘reported poisoning’, PEOPLE reports.
The LA Fire Department confirmed to the publication that they were called to the actor’s North Hollywood home. One person was transported to the hospital, officials told PEOPLE.
According to The Blast, a psychiatric evaluation was done and the 49-year-old actor was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Troyer was ‘extremely upset, drunk and suicidal.’ The outlet also reported that he is being held for 72 hours for evaluation.
This time last year, Verne was hospitalized for alcohol addiction.
‘As you know, I’ve battled alcohol addiction in the past and while it’s not always been an easy fight, I’m willing to continue my fight day by day,’ he said at the time.
