It seems like all work and no play – or family – for Tom Cruise, who was in LA on May 20 promoting his latest blockbuster The Mummy – an appearance that has upset fans of his daughter Suri, 11.
Tom seemed oblivious to the fact the daughter he’s not seen in 1,346 days was a mere 23 miles [37km] away in Calabasas while he courted fans and the media on the red carpet at the Hollywood & Highland center in LA, according to a sensational US report published today.
According to US magazine In Touch, instead of using the rare opportunity to see his daughter after the premiere, Tom jetted out of LA like a bat out of hell to continue promoting the film.
An insider told In Touch: “Tom could have easily made the trip to see Suri. It only takes about 30 minutes without traffic. It would’ve only added a few hours to his busy schedule.”
Tom was last photographed with Suri in 2013, but thankfully she has a rock-solid healthy relationship with her mom Katie Holmes.
“Katie has done everything in her power to give Suri the best life possible,” adds the magazine’s insider. “She truly is an amazing mom.”
Tom did not reply to In Touch magazine’s request for comment on why he doesn’t see Suri, but it’s very clear work is currently at the top of his mind. “I love to entertain an audience,” he said. “I dedicated my life to it and I just enjoy it so much.”
The publication’s sensational claims today have yet to garner a response from the actor’s camp.
