Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor’s marriage was allegedly destroyed by his confessed affair with reality vixen Brandi Glanville, it has been claimed in a bombshell US report today.
The Zoolander actor, 51, recently admitted to having a torrid secret fling with outspoken Brandi, 44, before he went on to find love with Christine.
“It was fun and short-lived and it was fun,” Ben publicly revealed of his romps with the Real Housewives star, adding: “I wouldn’t characterise it as a relationship. It was a couple of dates and fun. I’m not sure my wife is even aware of that.”
Now American magazine Globe sensationally claims Christine was incensed to learn this way of the affair – even though it occurred before she was with Ben – and her trust in him subsequently eroded to a point where she called time on their 17-year-marriage.
An insider said, “This whole Brandi thing pretty much detonated the split. The marriage has been plagued with problems over the past five years. But now telling her about such a low-rent fling was horrifying for Christine – especially since Brandi blabbed about the hookup, too. It brought all their trust issues to the surface, too.”
The former couple have yet to respond to Globe‘s claims.
