Tristan Thompson has given his first interview since welcoming daughter True with girlfriend Khloe Kardashian on April 12.
In a new podcast, the Cleveland Cavaliers star, who was caught cheating on Khloe just days before she gave birth, talks about the difference between raising his son and his newborn daughter.
Appearing on podcast Road Trippin, the 27-year-old NBA player talks about parenting 1-year-old son Prince with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, and 1-month-old daughter True with current girlfriend Khloe.
‘So you got a new addition to the family,’ host Richard Jefferson said, to which Thompson replied, ‘New addition to the family, yup.’
Co-host Allie Clifton asks how baby True is doing.
‘She’s doing good’, he replied, as Clifton adds, ‘Let’s not forget about Prince!’
Thompson says, ‘Yeah, of course, Prince is getting big, jumping on a little trampoline, and baby True is eating, sleeping and, uh, s**ttin’. That’s all they do. That’s all they do.’
Thompson was then asked if he’d noticed any difference between having a boy and a girl.
‘Yeah, I think with a girl, you’re just so much more emotionally like…With a boy, it’s just like, ‘Hey, man. You’ll be alright, man. Stop crying.’ But [with True], it’s like, ‘True, it’s gonna be OK. You know, we’re right here. Daddy’s here to feed you. It’s me! Look, yeah!’ It’s way different, but it’s fun, though. It changes you.’
Tristan was asked if he was ‘done having kids,’ to which he replied, ‘Naw, I’m gonna keep going. I’ve got a couple more. I got a couple more left.’
Although Thompson didn’t address the cheating scandal, he and Khloe have reportedly decided to make things work. The two have been spotted several times together over the past several weeks.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was even seen cheering on Thompson at a Cleveland Cavaliers play-off game.
An insider confirmed to Us Weekly that the pair are ‘fully back together’ following the scandal.
‘No one in her world is supporting Tristan and she’s still in love with him,’ the source told Us, adding that she feels as if ‘the whole world is against Tristan.’
While Khloe has remained silent on the cheating saga, her family members have been speaking out.
Sister Kim told Ellen Degeneres while appearing on The Ellen Degeneres Show, ‘Poor Khloé…Like I don’t even know how to describe it besides it’s just so f***ked up.’
‘We really were rooting for Khloé and we still are, you know, she’s so strong and she’s doing the best that she can. It’s a really sad situation, all over.’
‘Momager’ Kris Jenner also told Ellen, ‘I’m so proud of that kid. I get choked up because she’s such a good mom and honestly I get so emotional.
‘I was in Cleveland last week, it was snowing, and she was all nestled in the nursery and the baby.
‘She’s just concentrating on that, just being a mom, her baby and that’s what her sisters are doing as well. She’s so excited about motherhood and trying to get the nursing thing down, which is a little tricky.
‘She’s trying, she’s really trying. That was a little bit tricky when I was there…She’s figuring it out one day at a time, she’s just the best mom already. That baby is so cute, little True.’
