Following the devastating death of his son Arthur in 2015, Nick Cave is now suffering further tragedy.
The iconic music star is leaving Britain as a result of the overwhelming grief he continues to feel in light of his son’s alleged drug overdose and subsequent fall from a cliff.
Nick, 59, and his wife Susie Bick, along with their son Earl, who is Arthur’s twin brother, will be moving to Los Angeles, which Nick calls a ‘blank slate’.
‘Grief and illness and tiredness feed off each other in a kind of feeding frenzy,’ the musician told GQ magazine.
‘Mostly we just find it too difficult to live here. Everyone here has just been so great, and that’s in a way half the problem.
‘When I go out in Brighton these days, there’s a sort of feeling that we’re all in this together. And it’s just a little bit too intense for me.’
Arthur, who was 15 when he died, had allegedly taken several LSD tablets with a friend before becoming disorientated.
