Tom Cruise has gotten hair plugs in a desperate attempt to stay young looking, according to sensational claims published today by US publication The National Enquirer.
“It appears Tom’s been getting transplants along his hairline for quite a while,” Dr. Lyle Back, a top plastic surgeon based in New Jersey – who hasn’t treated Tom himself – tells the publication.
“I see clear signs that his hairline has been peppered with hair grafts every couple of years.”
The expert reveals that the plugs appear to have been added in a “subtle” and “very professional manner.”
He explains: “Usually, when a hairline recedes, it does so in a subtle way, and more in the temple area than the middle. But Tom’s head seems to have more hair on the sides than in the middle.”
A source tells The Enquirer that Tom is “obsessed with looking as young as possible.”
The star has yet to comment on the Enquirer‘s allegations.
