Tom Cruise is prone to “temper tantrums and has “violent tendencies,” according to his scientologist girlfriend, Nazanin Boniadi.
The explosive allegations have come to light through the uncovering of a confidential FBI file investigating the controversial church for “human trafficking” offences back in 2009, Radar Online reports.
The damming file also suggests that Boniadi had to audition to be Cruise’s girlfriend, despite a rep for the Hollywood actor and the church previously denying these claims.
The British-American actress was “put through a month of security checks, auditing, and interviews,” an FBI agent states in the report.
“The interviews were often video recorded. The Church wanted to make sure there was nothing unfavourable in her background.”
The agent also claims the 36-year-old was also probed on her beliefs about “relationships,” and was later told her “entire purpose was to make [Cruise] happy.”
“At the beginning of the relationship [he] was very romantic, but as the relationship progressed [he] began to have temper tantrums,” and “show violent tendencies,” the agent continues.
After their relationship ended, the report claims Boniadi was “no longer allowed to speak to anyone,” for fear she would unveil information that would ruin Cruise’s public image.
She was also forced to do months of menial labour for Scientology after the split, which saw her forced to “dig ditches at midnight and scrub floor tiles in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms.”
As a result, Boniadi “began to feel as if she was a criminal” and subsequently separated from the church.
