It’s been almost 20 years since they romped naked on screen in Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut.
And now, Tom Cruise has approached ex-wife Nicole Kidman about getting back together on the big screen to star in another saucy relationship-themed movie… and he has a very definite storyline in mind.
According to Hollywood insiders, the Mission Impossible star wants the ‘French-style movie’ to be about an acrimoniously divorced couple who patch up their differences years later and fall in love all over again.
‘Nic was stunned when Tom reached out to her about working together again,’ discloses a pal of the actress. ‘And she was even more taken aback about what he had in mind… especially as he wants them to do love scenes.’
It is believed Tom, 54, was spurred on to contact Nicole after seeing her naked scenes in Big Little Lies earlier this year, complimenting her on her acting performance and the plaudits she received for the movie Lion.
‘Tom said his greatest wish is to win an Oscar and be taken seriously for his acting skills, and he believes Nicole could bring out the best in him on the big screen,’ the source reveals.
