A US report has sensationally claimed that Norwegian student Anette Iren Johansen ‘suffered humiliation and torment during a secret try-out for the plum role as Tom Cruise’s bride’.
According to American magazine Globe, on his quest to find his fourth wife, the devout Scientologist has put potential candidates through ‘hellish auditions’ – something Tom has always denied.
Iranian-British actress Nazanin Boniadi was another contender ‘who failed to pass muster – and punished because she did not make Tom happy’, claims the publication.
The magazine further alleges that their experiences should be a warning to Scientology poster girl and current favourite to win Tom’s heart Natasha Gharbawi.
“She’s known as a total babe in Scientology circles and Tom’s undoubtedly noticed her,” spills an insider.
“Word is, Natasha is being groomed to be Tom’s partner in Scientology and marriage and he’s all for it,” they add.
But according to the publication, the two other candidates suffered ‘humiliation and distress’ during their auditions and time with Tom.
They allege that Anette ‘was sat down in front of a camera and bombarded with embarrassing and painful personal questions about her life and family. Before leaving, she was forced to sign a secrecy agreement.’
And according to the publication, ‘two weeks later, she was grilled again and asked: “Do you have any sexual perversions?” She says she answered “no” and never heard from them again.’
Naz on the other hand ‘plunged into a romance for three months,’ according to sources.
“It all came crashing down,” revealed the source. “Tom wanted nothing to do with Nazanin.”
It should be noted that the so-called auditions took place in 2004 and 2005, and Tom’s reps have always denied any such claims.
