Tom Cruise allegedly believes he has abilities to heal the sick, according to extremely bizarre allegations published in America’s National Enquirer today.
The highly controversial sect allegedly preaches that high-ranking members can cure injuries and illnesses with a hands-on approach called the ‘touch assist’.
“My insiders tell me Tom Cruise has now achieved the level of Operating Thetan VI,” Tony Ortega, who edits the Scientology watchdog blog The Underground Bunker, tells The Enquirer.
“That’s a very high level, and he would have learned about touch assist and almost certainly tried it as part of his experience. It’s a laying on of hands Scientologists claim opens the nerve channels and brings relief to a needy spot. The Scientologist who is performing the touch assist will touch the injured person and instruct them to ‘Feel my finger.’
“Only one finger must be used – not two. After the healer has finished, they must say, ‘End of assist.’ It’s a powerful procedure, Scientologists believe.”
In a Scientology promotional video, Tom appeared to allude to a belief in such alleged abilities.
“Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them,” he says in the video, according to The Enquirer.
Cruise and the Church of Scientology have yet to respond to the Enquirer‘s sensational allegations.
