Their on-screen chemistry was undeniable.
But it turns out Risky Business co-stars Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay continued their romance even after the cameras stopped rolling.
According to fellow actor Curtis Armstrong, the pair enjoyed an “intense” love affair, despite the fact that the stunning blonde was dating Harry Dean Stanton at the time.
“I suspect that most of Harry Dean’s qualities were lost on Tom who, I think, was beginning to regard him as overstaying his welcome,” Curtis, who played Miles in the hit 1983 flick wrote in his new tell-all book, Revenge of the Nerd.
The couple seemingly continued to date after filming wrapped, appearing together at the 1985 screening for The Breakfast Club.
But although it was “no secret” that Cruise was smitten with the “beautiful, inscrutable” 23-year-old, Armstrong claims he also “kept busy” exploring the “local talent.”
“Tom wasn’t f***** around,” he penned.
“Actually, I take that back. He was.”
He added: “The perpetual rumours regarding his sexual orientation were utterly mystifying.”
“There was no question which side of that particular fence Tom stood on.”
