In a moment that won’t be shown on TV, the former Culture Club front man’s frustration explodes after a spat over a contestant, and he storms off stage threatening to quit.

‘I’ve gotta go,’ George
says angrily, exiting his big red chair as soon as he is off-camera.

Walking from the stage in
a huff, a studio audience member witnessed the 55-year-old have an angry conversation with manager and close friend
 Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley.

‘George covered his microphone so producers couldn’t hear what he was saying about Seal,’ the source says.

‘It was so awkward, everyone was pretending like it was a break in filming, but you could see the producers having crisis talks on the side of the stage.

‘We really thought Boy George wasn’t going to come back.’

However, when questioned by New Idea about his feud with George, the Kiss From A Rose singer dismisses the idea of tension.

‘Really? I don’t know. I wasn’t aware there was any tension,’ Seal stammers defensively, before one of his assistants chimes in to quell the awkwardness, saying: ‘Everyone is just really competitive.’

The audience member claims that after their fight, George and Seal totally ignored each other, except to shoot down ideas.

If any of the other coaches got up and went to talk to Boy George, Seal would just sit in his chair and sulk,’ the insider reveals.

‘The only time they ever spoke was to fight over a contestant.’
