She mightn’t have taken the crown on Sunday night’s finale but it isn’t curtains for 19 year-old The Voice contestant Fasika Ayallew.

In fact, it’s reported today that after several high powered meetings, the Western Sydney teenager is believed to have been offered a recording contract thanks to her standout TV performances.

Mentored by former Destiny’s Child artist Kelly Rowland, Ayallew was an easy fan favourite thanks to covers like Adele’s ‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’, Tina Turner’s ‘Proud Mary’ and Whitney Houston’s, ‘I Have Nothing’.

Aligned organisations, Channel 9 and Universal, would not comment on the rumours saying attention was focused on the show’s winner, 20 year-old Judah Kelly.

Judah Kelly, or ‘King Judah’, took out first place in the show’s sixth season but the win, as always, was not a simple one.

Fans around Australia took to social media to express their shock that Ayallew missed out on placement. As maybe they should, ‘I Have Nothing’ is no mean feat. Other’s believe she’s dodged ‘The Voice curse’ that has seen previous winners struggle to turn their TV win into chart success.
