Last night’s newest Married At First Sight couple Andrew and Cheryl shocked when they revealed they were re-entering the experiment together.
After Cheryl explained to psychologist John Aike why her and John didn’t work out, she admitted she wanted to try the experiment with Andrew, who was ditched on his honeymoon by Lauren.
“At the dinner party, Andrew and I did get on really well,” Cheryl said.
“And with him being single and me being single … would there be any way of, like … like, experiencing something there?”
The pair went on a date which Cheryl dubbed “one of the best dates” she had ever been on.
But it was at the dinner party where things took a sour turn as contestant Anthony called Cheryl a “f***ing idiot” for re-entering with Andrew.
“Putting yourself into this position though, where you’re having a second time round. You’ve gotta get it right,” he said over dinner.
“You’ll look like a f***ing idiot if you get it wrong.”
A tearful Cheryl responded: “’To you, that’s your opinion, but that’s f***ing rude.”
“’I walked in here with my f***ing heart on my sleeve and you go get this right or else. Who are you to say that? You don’t even know me.”
Her new partner Andrew leapt to her defence.
“There’s no need for that [Anthony’s remarks]. It’s probably the first time when I’ve thought back off,” Andrew said.
“I could see she was upset and those are the times when she’s going to need someone. So I grabbed her hand.”
Anthony later apologised to Cheryl for his comments, admitting he crossed the line.
