Day one of Prince William and Kate’s royal visit to Poland has involved a fashionable blast from the past.

The red leather, buckled shoes seen on almost 2-year-old Princess Charlotte’s feet, are none other than her Uncle Harry’s from 1986.

Much like The Wizard of Oz (but with none of the drama), Charlotte has inherited the red shoes from her uncle and can be seen wearing them with white socks and matching red and white dress.

Hand-me-downs, it seems, are a regular occurrence in the royal family with Prince George sporting his father Will’s clothing on other occasions, including a red and white replica by designer Rachel Riley. Princess Charlotte was also seen in Canada last year wearing the same cardigan her brother George wore to the hospital after her birth.

And you thought wearing your family’s hand-me-downs was lame.
