It’s been a train wreck romance from the outset for Married At First Sight‘s Elizabeth and Sam, with tensions boiling over when the New South Wales tradie bailed on their honeymoon to go to a funeral in New Zealand.
Store manager Elizabeth has repeatedly slammed her TV husband’s failure to make contact while her travelled for the memorial service, but a MAFS insider is spilling the tea on why Sam didn’t call home.
Former MAFS star Telv Williams took to Instagram stories to share his two cents on the subject, claiming: ‘I can guarantee you the producers would have told him he wasn’t allowed to make any contact with his wife because you’re not meant to talk to them.’
The 34-year-old FIFO worker went on to reveal couple’s are actively discouraged from speaking to each other off-screen as TV execs want to save the drama for the camera.
‘Don’t be too harsh to Sam, he’s done nothing wrong… f**k you experts!’ the father-of-two added.
Telv featured on the 2018 series of MAFS which saw him enjoy wed Sarah Roza and enjoy a short lived romance before officially announcing their split on March 24.
In addition to the honeymoon fiasco, part-time model Sam continues to receive a barrage of backlash over his body shaming comments about Elizabeth.
On seeing his bride for the first time, he told the camera: ‘I’ve never really dated girls as big as Elizabeth before.
‘We’ll get her running in the mornings or something – we’ll be alright.’
