The Queen has been seen for the first time in public after spending the past weeks bedridden due to a heavy cold.
The Monarch attended church at Sandringham over the weekend after her ill health caused her to miss the traditional Christmas and New Year services.
Sitting with Prince Phillip, she was dressed impeccably for the occasion, although ensured she stayed warm with a blanket draped over her in the car.
Prince Phillip is also said to be recovering from a cold.
Queen Elizabeth was joined by her grandson Prince William for the occasion, along with his wife Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge.
Fears were raised for The Queen after her Christmas no-show, with many outlets reporting that her deteriorating health was getting worse.
Last week there were also reports that the 90-year-old was nearly shot by one of her guards while out walking around Buckingham Palace at night.
The guard is said to have shouted into the darkness when he spotted a figure walking around Buckingham Palace at 3am, believing it might be an intruder.
But the shadowy suspect was in fact Her Majesty, who had stepped out for some fresh air because she couldn’t sleep.
The guard confessed to Her Majesty he had nearly fired his weapon, to which she quipped: ‘Next time I’ll ring through beforehand so you don’t have to shoot me.’
