They may cover a lot of hard-hitting news topics, but the panellists of The Project also feature some silly segments from time-to-time.
Comedian Peter Helliar played a viral clip of a monkey throwing its fasces at an elderly zoo-goer.
The video shocked Waleed Aly while Carrie Bickmore spun away from the desk in uncontrollable laughter.
“It’s the greatest thing I have ever seen in my life!” said Hellier.
“That’s not true,” Bickmore said of the video.
“You’re making that up!” added recent I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Steve Price.
The panellists then asked to replay the clip a second time, before Carrie revealed that one of the producers was in her earpiece denying the request as “people are eating.”
“That’s no reason not to show it again!” She responded.
