Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King – arguably the most hotly anticipated reboot of the decade – is due to hit theatres on July 19.
And now, just weeks before its release, Walt Disney Records has released a teaser clip of the film’s most iconic and best loved song Can You Feel the Love Tonight, sung by global superstar Beyoncé and American actor-singer Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino.

Donald Glover and Beyoncé star as Simba and Nala, backed by appearances from Seth Rogen (Pumbaa) Billy Eichner (Timon), John Oliver (Zazu) and Chiwetel Ejiofor as notorious villain Scar.
James Earl Jones reprises his role as Mufasa, 25 years after he voiced the beloved character, while John Kani stars as the voice of wise old baboon Rafiki.
The star studded soundtrack includes songs from acclaimed rapper-producer Pharrell along with Elton John who penned the original score for the 1994 animated Lion King with British lyricist Tim Rice.

Hans Zimmer’s score includes old favourites like I Just Can’t Wait to Be King, Hakuna Matata and He Lives in You, as well as new song Never Too Late written by Elton John, Pitchfork reports.
